Project Introduction-

Throughout my AP World History Class we have been learning about how the world changed around the period of enlightenment. This meant that our course material would dive into the revolutions that shaped the world around this time periods. These revolutions include the Haitian Revolution, American Revolution, French Revolution, and Latin Revolution, how they were caused and how they affected the world. The project is meant to reinforce our knowledge upon these revolutions, and help us prepare for the AP Exam and for their real world applications.

The Problem I was tasked with solving-

"What ingredients are needed to whip up a revolution? You will be assigned one Atlantic Revolution to research and create a Revolutionary Recipe. Your recipe shall include key historical figures, causes, events, and effects of your revolution. Be creative! Use infographics, adobe products, other software or you can even hand-make it (no word or PowerPoint)."

Results/Doing the Project-

I was given the Haitian Revolution and decided to use Pikochart to make my Revolutionary Recipe-

Why was this problem important to solve?

This problem of trying to understand these revolutions are essential to understanding trying to understand our world today. Analyzing events in history, such as these revolutions, are key to understanding the patterns of history. Using our understanding of the causes and effects of revolutions, achieved after completing this project,  would allows us to understand how to make a revolution and how they affect a society. This would be a useful tool in pattern heavy occupations, as realizing the patterns of history would make it easier to understand patterns of everyday life.

Reflection-

I actually really enjoyed this project. Even though this project is heavily research based, there was a lot of freedom with the recipes design and wording. It also required somewhat of a creative mind in the wording of the recipe and how you convert the sheer history facts into the steps of the recipe. If I were to redo the project I would have reworded some of the steps as I would have preferred it to have a more forward image on the history facts. The most challenging part was the rewording itself, as you had to match what happened in history with using cooking words. I thought that the design of the recipe would be more challenging, but I kept it simple.
