Update, August 11, 2019: The side by side documents were removed from the TEA website, the week of August 11th to correct problems in the alignment.
The side by side documents explain how the old standards compare to the new standards. The side by sides are useful for two reasons.
1. The side by side documents will explain which TEKS are eligible for STAAR Testing in 2019-2020 for K-8 and in 2020-2021 for 9-12. (Documents for 9-12 have not yet been published. Spanish side-by-sides have not yet been published. 1/22/2019)
2. The side by side documents explain the rationale for changes, differences in cognitive complexity, and reference how the strands connect to each other.
These documents can be downloaded from the TEA website at this location, but we have posted the documents directly in the tiles of this collection.
