Why they wear white robes
The KKK wears hoods and robes which has become a infamous hate symbol. 1915 is when the look was established. Although there is no meaning behind the all white outfit there is still a rank system that uses stripes.
What does their name mean
The name Ku Klux Klan is said to be Greek, kuklos in Greek means cricle and klan is said to be spelt like that for the alliteration. Originally they were called the kuklux, but later changed their name to two words. The name essentially means “The circle clan.
They’ve had an integration of members
The KKK has had black members, when a police officer played undercover and pretended to be in their clan for investigation. In theory their recruitment process isn’t the most secure and unreliable. Since the groups belife was intentionally made for whites to show power and discriminate against African Americans.
Where they originate
The KKK originates fromthe south and was established in the late 1860’s but then quickly died out in the early 1870’s in 1871 manny chapters began to be suppressed. Later in 1951 the second clan began in Georgia and began extremely popular in 1920 as it expanded north.
What was their goal
Their goal was to “purify using any means necessary, including but not limited to, murder, physical abuse, capturing of freed slaves. Also known as the “Invisible Empire of the south” eventually people began to imitate their actions and other Klans (chapters) began to assemble.
Time span
The time span of each of the calan varied and was different with each decade and how it was taken. The first started in 1865-1871 the second klan 1915-1944 and finaly the third clan started in 1946 two years after the second ended and is still up and running to current day. How long the third will last is a mystery since there isn’t a constant pattern.
The first klan had no order
The first clan had no order or direction. They made it up as it went along, like most things that are new, but the used fake rituals and activities to catch people eyes and make outsiders interested. Since most cults and religion are believed to have years and centuries of knowledge.
The media
The media has twisted fact and even made fun of the KKK. An activist informed the creators of Superman and they featured the KKK in an episode and threw the as darts. Many news sources also caught outsides eye by writing stories on them.
All about marketing
The KKK have been said to only being concerned with their public image, they sold merchandise, mainly their robes as a way to make profit and even opened a camp for summer. Currently they are active on social media and have a television shown online.
Their own country
In 1981 the KKK were fed up and decided they wanted to start their own country. The plan involved restoring prime minister Patrick John to power on the island of Dominica. The plan obviously fell through because they broke the Neutrality Act.
